Process

How Find A Researcher
works for everyone.

Two user types, two ways to join, one clear process. Here's exactly how it all works.

For Clients

01

Browse the directory

Search and filter researchers by domain, research methods, availability, and hourly rate. No account needed to browse.

02

Create a free account

Sign up as a client with just your name and email. Optionally add a brief bio or organization.

03

Contact and scope

Reach out to researchers directly. Scope the engagement, agree on terms, and move forward on your timeline.

04

Engage on clear terms

All engagements are governed by our Commitment Centers. You deal directly with the researcher.

For Researchers

01

Join or be invited

Sign up voluntarily, or activate a profile that an admin has seeded on your behalf from a consented source.

02

Build your profile

Add your headline, research areas, bio, education, experience, services, availability, and hourly rate.

03

Go public when ready

Toggle your profile public to appear in the directory. You control when — and can withdraw visibility at any time.

04

Respond on your terms

Client inquiries come to you. Accept, negotiate, or decline — it's your expertise and your judgment.

How profiles enter the platform

Admin-seeded ingestion

Plethoryt admins create researcher or client profiles from consented data sources. Profiles are created in pre-active status. No notification is sent automatically — an admin manually clicks Notify when ready, giving full control over timing and communication.

Bulk CSV import and API ingestion for partner portals are also supported.

Voluntary sign-up

Any researcher or client can register through the public join form. Accounts activate immediately. Researchers start with a private profile and can expand and publish it at their own pace. Clients can start browsing and contacting immediately.

Voluntary accounts require only name, email, and password to get started.
